Make a pair of funky fused glass mushtrooms on this fun half-day workshop
On this workshop you'll create two fused glass mushrooms ready to display in your garden (or indoors), like the ones we sell in the gallery.
You'll also gain an insight in to some of the basics of glass fusing - a gentle introduction to a craft many of our students have gone on to enjoy developing in their own home.
You'll learn how to cut the circles in glass, which you'll then decorate with frits and other inclusions before being fired in the kiln.
After firing flat, and then a second firing over a mould we'll prepare the copper stakes and let you know your mushrooms are finisghed.
This is a fun and accessible mini workshop - suitable for beginners.
The course cost of £119 inc VAT per person includes:
- Full tuition throughout
- Enough clear glass to cut 4 circles for two mushrooms
- Clear and coloured fusible glass frit to make your frit slurry, copper pipe fittings to complete
- Use of all tools and apron
- Refreshments during the workshop
- Maximum class size 6 people for individual attention
- Both kiln firings
- All your work to keep, after all firings are complete
- Classes run at our Northants studio near Towcester
