Glass Fusing - Dragonfly Garden Art Half day workshops with Mike & Jenny
"I just wanted to say thank you so much for a wonderful day. The patience you showed was absolutely amazing, and your knowledge ( obvs) about glass art was inspiring!." - Jane P
Create your own 'hovering' dragonfly garden glass art on this half-day workshop for beginners and those with some glass fusing experience
On this workshop you'll create a beautiful, multi-layered hovering dragonfly for your garden, combining coloured glass, enamel pens, glass frit, crushed coloured glass and stringers.
This workshop is suitable for beginners, but If you've already enjoyed learning the basics of glass fusing on one of our beginner's classes, this is a great next step up for your new fused glass hobby.
You'll learn basic glass cutting, how to use fusible glass and frits to build your design and how to layer the pieces so they'll fuse together properly in the kiln.
We'll share the firing details and how we'll mount the stainless steel rod so your dragonfly will appear to be hovering or flying when planted in your garden.
Once your piece is ready for the kiln, we'll fire it and mount it on its metal stand and let you know when it's ready for collection.
The course cost of £149 inc VAT includes:
All the fusible glass needed for your project
Metal stand (approx 90cm high)
Clear and coloured fusible glass, frit, enamel pens and stringers to make your project
Use of all tools and apron
Refreshments during the session including herbal teas, decaffeinated drinks & gluten-free biscuits
Maximum class size 6 people for individual attention
Class runs from 1pm to 5.00pm (approx) at our Northants studio near Towcester
