Fluid Art with Hazel Beckett - Bloom & Spin workshops
Fun fluid acrylic pouring class for beginners and all levels

"I absolutely loved the triptych fluid art day. It worked so well with Hazel and her experience and expertise. It went at the right pace and very clear instruction." - Angie

Hazel's new Fluid Art Bloom & Spin workshops are a lively way to explore your creativity - and it doesn't matter at all if you've done some painting or none at all!

This new Bloom & Spin workshop is a little different from other Fluid Art techniques - you'll be using pre-mixed paints in a range of colours and painting tiles to practice on, and then a set of coasters as your finished pieces.
Hazel will be teaching the recognised Shelee Art Bloom technique, but with her very own UK-adapted paint recipe!

You'll be blowing the paint and then using Hazel's specially sourced spinning turntables to create exciting paint effects with centrifugal force!

After drying your coasters will be varnished to make them fully usable as coasters (or you could display them as compact pieces of modern art!).

Beginners Fluid Art - Bloom & Spin Technique

Each beginners workshop is 4 hours - enough time to learn the fundamental techniques, discover how the paints behave, and create several beautiful, vibrant and totally unique pieces of miniature Fluid Art!

  • No previous experience is necessary; also suitable for those already experimenting with acrylic pour art
  • Step by step demonstrations
  • Huge range of paints to try
  • Small class sizes for plenty of attention
  • All materials, tiles, coaster bases and protective gear provided

The Course Structure of each workshop covers:

  • Preparing your tiles and coasters
  • Testing the techniques on tiles
  • Using blowing and spinning to move the paint
  • Bringing all your new skills together on a set of coaster blanks
  • Your pieces will be ready to collect after drying - usually 2 weeks

You are asked to bring:

  • Enclosed shoes & old clothes; something to tie long hair back with

This class is led by Hazel Beckett, an accomplished artist and tutor. With a background in coaching and leadership plus many years experience working with acrylic pour art techniques, Hazel brings a fun way of creating beautiful and spontaneous art to the studio.

About Hazel Beckett

Hazel has been a keen artist and photographer since she could pick up a pencil. She spent a long time working with ink until 5 years ago she discovered fluid acrylic art on Pinterest!

Since then she has honed her skills, learning from some of the top artists in the field.

Her fluid art often takes cues from nature, aiming to capture the motion of water or be inspired by the colours of a favourite landscape.
One of the things that drew Hazel to fluid art was the playful fluidity of vibrant colours in motion and (unlike other art forms) the need to let go of the outcome to achieve the best outcome!

What attendees have said about our courses:
