Scented Candle Making
Morning or Afternoon workshops with Jenny Timms

"Jenny's infectious and her patience is commendable." - Sue

Scented Candle Making - try your hand at making your own candles with these half-day classes for beginners.

A wide range of scents is available plus Christmas workshops include seasonal scents like Holly Berry, Winter Frangrance and Christmas Wreath.

This workshop introduces you to the fun of candle making with an end product you can enjoy at home, and possibly a new hobby.
The materials and tools needed to create your own scented candles are affordable and safe to use, making this a craft you can certainly continue after the class.
Scented candles make great presents!

You'll be using soy wax (environmentally friendly and cleaner to use than parafin wax), essential oils for scents, coloured wax and cotton candle wicks.
The class runs for 2 1/2 hours approx.

On each session you'll make either two upcycled teacup candles or two 6cm candles in tins, four tealights and four 'wax melts', for use in a scent warmer. Choose from a range of natural scents and colours to make your own individual candles.

The class covers all the stages involved in making candles from the raw materials and is suitable for all levels, especially beginners.

The course cost of £55 inc person includes:

  • Soy wax, cotton wicks, scents including essential oils, coloured waxes
  • Teacups to be upcycled or candle tins, tealight containers, wicks and sustainers
  • Use of tools, apron and selection of silicone moulds for making wax melts
