Well, it seems as if winter has really arrived, judging by the rain and snow we've had this month. In an effort to bring a little ray of sunshine to you, here's a part of a very sunny (almost Caribbean) piece we've just completed as a commission for Soroptimist International Wales South Region.

The piece has the words 'Horizons Sing' etched onto the rear surface of the glass giving a subtle effect (that's hard to photograph) with a glossy finish to the front. We're very keen to explore this technique further so if you have an idea for a commission that could feature words or a design etched on, do get in touch!
Events coming up
We'd love to see you at our next outing:
- 22nd November - heArt of Wilstone Art show, Wilstone nr Tring, Herts. HP23 4PE
We're then taking part in the Christmas exhibition at Broxbourne Civic Hall (full details and pics of new pieces made specially next month).
As always, the details of all our events, venue maps, open times and links to related websites are on our events page.
Lions Club Auction - Art in Berkhamsted piece goes to new home
The photo below shows a Mrs Tranfield of Hemel Hempstead receiving 'Layers and Light' at Last month's Lions Club concert, in aid of Berkhamsted Swan Youth Project.
The piece was auctioned via sealed bid and features contributions from Sara Wickenden, Stuart Grieve and our own Jenny Timms.
What did Mike do to help, you might ask? 'Nothing' is Jenny's reply...

Finally....
Thanks to all the folks that came to see us at the Wendover Art & Craft show earlier in November - great to meet and chat with so many people.
We're looking forward to seeing you again at one of our events, hearing from you, or making something for you!
Best Regards,
Jenny & Mike
P.S. Mike has developed a new service for artists and craftworkers who haven't yet got to grips with establishing their own website.
If you've been putting off getting started, or you're not sure if your current site is working for you, get in touch or have a look at: www.artcraftweb.co.uk.
