Hello from Jenny & Mike!

This month we're keeping it brief...some events to remind you about, and a couple of observations arising out of the British Craft Trade Fair and that's your lot until next time!

Events coming up
As usual, details of all our events throughout the year, dates, links and advance info are on our events page.

Art in Berkhamsted exhibition , re:create, Berkhamsted
Now until 19th April 2009.
This mini exhibition features a selection of new work from Sara Wickenden, Stuart Grieve and some pieces from Vitreus Art. You still have a week left, if you're near Berkhamsted!

Art & Craft Market, Thame Town Hall, Thame, Oxon
25th April 2009 10am to 4pm
Sally's markets usually have a good selection of good-quality craft and design from local makers and are always worth visiting.
Details on our events page...

Prelude Exhibition, High Wycombe Library
1st - 28th April, as part of forthcoming Bucks Open Studios season
We have a piece at this selective, varied show, alongside many pieces from other artists from the area..
Link to more info, including a location map...

Demonstration weekend at John Lewis, High Wycombe
Friday / Saturday 29th / 30th May, store opening hours
We'll be with 2 other artists demonstrating our techniques and showing some new pieces.
We visited the first of these weekends in March and were impressed with the work on show. We know it's a little way away, but we wanted to give this event at least two plugs in our newsletters!

Finally....
We've seen some lovely art and craft work on our travels recently and we hope you'll be getting out and about too.
We're looking forward to seeing you, hearing from you, or making something for you!

Best Regards,
Jenny & Mike

P.S. Sally Eaton at Rowans Gallery has some interesting events planned, including open air art demonstrations. We're hoping to participate soon, so make sure you take a look at her website from time to time...

New large Triple Deco mirror
Having spent time at the British Craft Trade Fair this week, we're convinced that functional pieces are what folks are looking for at the moment - combining the practical with the decorative.
Below is our latest mirror, larger than all our previous designs, and featuring our favourite blue baroque glass for good measure. Click the image for the full product info, as usual.

Blue Triple Deco Mirror

Also at BCTF...
We spoke with many gallery owners who told us that they like to work with artists that can demonstrate what they do, and who are prepared to engage with their audiences.

You'll know that we do demonstrations as often as we can, and we're keen to find more opportunities to show people how stained glass 'works'. If you're running a show, an exhibition, or an art event of some sort, do get in touch!
